The Darkness

The Darkness

The glittering morning light loses glitters,
in the eternal darkness of eve that jitters.
From dawn to dusk, the farce of those glitters,
the moon’s effort, at least, makes light voyage
in the night sky like the desolate sea.

The darkness declares its victory
The light helpless is defeated.
The light comes and goes
Like the players on stage!
But ‘tis final, that darkness pervades
And flies its winning flag!
Light transient, darkness constant!
